The special CCTV switches from Hikvision are designed to optimally set up your network.

CCTV switches are equipped with a built-in range extender, giving you no less than 250m range with your PoE power supply! You reach these distances by using CAT6 cabling.

In addition, the switches are equipped with a 4kV surge protection. Because cameras are often mounted outdoors, it is very important that the switch does not short-circuit due to an over voltage on one of the cables and that your camera network is down.

A buffer is required to properly process all data packages from your camera without losing packages. Hikvision CCTV switches have a buffer for this, which means that the switch is optimally equipped to transfer camera images to the recorder without loss.
